The Taylor Gara Consulting approach centers on strong partnerships with organizations invested in the visual and performing arts. At Taylor Gara Consulting, we work closely with organizations to identify challenges and uncover opportunities for growth. By combining existing knowledge with newly gathered insights, we craft actionable strategies that strengthen efficiency, enhance impact, and foster collective success.
Taylor Gara, PhD
Dr. Taylor Gara founded Taylor Gara Consulting after discovering her passion for the performing arts at age 12, began teaching ballet at age 18, and later becoming a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200hr). Since 2014, Taylor has researched the visual and performing arts exploring policy impacts, adolescent motivation, and the benefits of the arts on human development.
Taylor received an Associate’s degree in Social Science from J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Old Dominion University, a Master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from George Mason University, and a PhD in Education Policy from the University of California, Irvine. A prior intern at the National Dance Education Organization, she currently serves as a dance education and adolescent development research advisor to the Arts, Humanities, and Civic Engagement Lab at Texas A&M University. The lab is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts and is dedicated to the “rigorous investigation of the role of the arts and humanities in promoting student success, social and emotional well-being, and civic engagement.”
In addition to her projects in university settings, Taylor spent four years working as a program evaluator at a national, non-profit research and evaluation organization. Her work primarily served the California Department of Education’s statewide initiatives designed to address inequities faced by students and families living in underserved communities.
With a drive to garner knowledge of the arts, Taylor’s work is published in Research in Dance Education, Arts Education Policy Review, and Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts (click here for a full list of publications). Taylor Gara Consulting is Taylor’s vision to continue to build partnerships and support organizations invested in the visual and performing arts. Originally a Virginia native, she now resides in Orange County, CA.
Timothy Ojetunde
Timothy Ojetunde is a culture and climate specialist dedicated to strengthening teams and improving workplace culture. His passion for strengthening organizational environments led him through a progression of roles at a Los Angeles charter school network as an educator, a school culture specialist, and an assistant principal. With over ten years of experience, Timothy has coached and trained organizational leaders, staff, and stakeholders to enhance workplace effectiveness and community connections. His work has supported the Ventura Workforce Development Board in California, as well as school districts in California and Arizona.
Timothy’s services are designed to strengthen workplace culture, enhance communication, and develop the relationship skills that drive organizational success. His services strengthen internal relationships through the coaching and training of effective communication and collaboration skills. His services are also designed to build or improve relationships with external partners and community members. Through interactive workshops, personalized coaching, and group training sessions, clients will gain the tools needed to navigate challenges and create a lasting impact.
Timothy earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UCLA, a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from Arizona State University, and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he continues to partner with organizations to strengthen community connections and to ensure their initiatives are relevant and effective.
